"Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy (THz-TDS) is a technique that uses pulses of terahertz radiation to probe the properties of materials. The model or video will illustrate how short pulses of THz light are generated, transmitted through a sample, and detected. It will explain how the time-domain information is converted into a frequency spectrum, revealing unique vibrationaland rotational properties of molecules. The demonstration will emphasize its non-destructive nature and applications in material characterization, pharmaceuticals, and security screening."
